Google Reader Tip : Marking an item as unread

leave a comment »

The ability to mark an item as unread is important for me. I generally skim through the headlines in the morning, and save the important ones as unread, to be read later. But it is not very obvious how to do this from google reader interface. But little bit of googling provided the solution.

In order to mark a specific entry as unread, press “m” (or “M”), and the entry will be marked as unread. The hotkey is used as toggle button, but typically one doesn’t need a specific action to mark an item as read, since google reader will do that as soon as you click on the headline.
