HTML Signature in Gmail – Firefox Extension
If you are looking to use the professional looking HTML signature to be used with multiple web based email services, look no further. Wisestamp Firefox extension is way to go !!
The extension offers several options. To begin with you can create two signatures :
- Personal ID
- Business ID
Initially Personal signature is set as default, but it can be easily changed to use your Business ID as default. The extension also add a statusbar button to firefox, to select specific signature each time.
Apart from the regular HTML signature, it allows you to include your IM IDs and Social Networking IDs/URLs.
It supports following IM clients to be listed on your business card :
- AOL
- ICQ
- Google Talk
- MSN
- Skype
- Yahoo
You can list following Social networking sites :
- Flickr
- Blogger
- MySpace
- Plaxo
- .. and several others
In the screenshot below, I’ve removed several options that I won’t use.
After configuring it properly, you get the look that of attaching a Business card at the end of your message.
The Website offers templates to begin customizing your signature. I was able to use one of the template to create my signature. Since the Settings dialog offers both HTML and Visual options, I was able to use the HTML Code with my Thunderbird setup as well
Note : The extension shows a warning in the Add-ons window under it, saying Not compatible with Firefox 3.1b1 but I was able to use it with this latest beta of Firefox 3.1, without any problems. Needless to say, I have turned off the compatibility check in about:config

Thanks for the review and recommendation
Regarding your Note we will see what we can do to avoid that on our next version THANKS!
